Hello, dear community and team of ambassadors!

The recent launch of the Soneium mainnet has created an enormous expectation in the Latin American communities regarding the development of the protocol. Enthusiasm, intrigue and desire to create are some of the feelings that can be perceived among the members of the local communities that form our closed group and that want to join Soneium’s technological innovation.

It is for this reason that we have organized a collective of people enthusiastic about blockchain technology and believers of the philosophy shared by Astar & Soneium with the objective of promoting and expanding the use of these technologies in our regions with strong consumption of blockchain products. We seek to be the preachers that help Soneium to be more widely used in Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico and many other countries in LatAm.

TL;DR

This collective, called Astar & Soneium LatAm Collective, proposes the realization of 4 community meetups in two main cities of Colombia and in 1 one important city in Venezuela to promote the official launch of the Soneium mainnet, its advantages and the opportunities that this protocol offers to creators and artists.

We want to see Astar & Soneim grow in Colombia and all of Latin America!

The proposal is very well-structured, but I have some questions that I would like to have clarified before voting.

  1. Is this proposal intended for the Community Treasury or the Foundation?
  2. How many students, developers, and artists are expected to participate?
  3. How was this estimate determined and why?
  4. How will the event be promoted to attract participants?
  5. How will the sponsor’s presence be promoted before, during, and after the event?
  6. Will there be any interactive activities to engage participants with ASTR and Soneium?
  7. How will the 100 POAPs for attendance verification be distributed?
  8. How will the 100 EASs for participation verification be ensured?
  9. Is there a plan to prevent fraud or unauthorized issuance of certificates?
  10. How will the sponsorship impact be evaluated and reported to the sponsor?
  11. Will there be specific metrics or KPIs to measure the results besides attendance?
  12. Will the sponsor have access to participant data (while respecting privacy and regulatory compliance)?

Looking forward to the team clarifications.

Hi Pitcoin, I really appreciate you for adding your questions to the proposal here :D, I will answer them one by one:

  1. The proposal is intended for the Community Treasury.
  2. We estimate to have the participation of 50 students, 20 artists, 30 crypto investors and about 10 to 20 developers.
  3. Because the event is more aimed at crypto users and showcasing the value and use of $ASTR we don't expect to have as many developers, so our estimates are based on our community audience profiles.
  4. We have raised the use of Instagram, X (formerly Twitter) and WhatsApp groups with promotional flyers that we will create to promote as much as possible the event, we already have a good audience interested in attending.
  5. Before: We already started doing X Spaces, Instagram lives and talking personally with local community members. During: Astar & Soneium will have the full protagonism being in the merch, flyers and presentations. After: We have created a telegram group where we will include all attendees to keep promoting Astar & Soneium events.
  6. Absolutely! We have planned a dynamic where all participants will fill out an event satisfaction form and those who fill it out will participate to win 1 staking of $ASTR in the Astar dApp Staking and thus we will win new stakers in our system.
  7. To distribute the 100 POAPs I will create a simple website where participants will only need to connect their wallet and sign their participation in the event, then an automated contract will take care of sending the POAPs to only the wallets they signed during the event.
  8. The same with POAPs ☝.
  9. Yes, as I mentioned, only users who sign the transaction and fill out the event satisfaction form will be eligible to receive the POAP and EAS.
  10. For this, we plan to use: the satisfaction survey, social media interactions, the number of participants, new users in our Telegram group, and new $ASTR stakers in Astar dApp Staking. All of this will be reported with metrics to demonstrate these results.
  11. That’s right, the five metrics mentioned above will be the ones we present.
  12. Of course! We will request attendees' consent to add them to zkVan’s Newsletter about Astar and Soneium news, allowing us to promote Astar-related content.

I hope I've answered all your questions! 😁

Latin America has become a unique region within the global Web3 ecosystem. Here we have seen a mix of a tech-savvy population, an entrepreneurial spirit to build new things and a real need for the solutions this technology offers, all of which together make the region fertile ground for the development and adoption of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

Therefore, establishing a strong and engaged community in this region for Astar and Soneium represents a significant and strategic step towards long-term growth and success. By actively engaging with the Latin American market, Astar and Soneium can tap into this immense potential, contributing to the region's technological advancement while simultaneously expanding their own reach and influence in the global Web3 ecosystem

Very nice proposal.
It's organize and clear. Also, targetting student in BC is a great way to bring potential new proejct to Astar and Soneium. I'm supporting it

Hello @Juminstock Astar , I have a few technical remarks about the proposal.

  1. The proposed call treasury->spendLocal will fail and have no effect on-chain. The proper way to request treasury payout is described here. That being said, the referendum can still be used to measure the sentiment - just not what's it supposed to be.
  2. You mention that this is supposed to be paid out from the Community Treasury, however the proper spending request created here is aiming to spend funds from the main treasury, not the community treasury.

Been seeing more focus on Soneium Ecosystem rather than Astar Dapp Ecosystem. I can't vote due to dapp staking but yeah
