Proposal for Astar Network

Treasury Request:
We are requesting a direct grant of 990.000 $astr to support the development of an Astar Network-themed saga within Age of Chronos — a multichain game focused on cross-chain NFT exchange, leveraging the RMRK 2.0 standard.
The project will be executed by SFY Labs and structured around three development milestones, each with an estimated duration of one month. Milestones will be subject to review and approval by the Astar Foundation prior to moving forward.

Proposed Milestones

-Milestone 1: Concept & Graphic Design
Define the visual style and thematic elements of a custom Astar-themed dungeon.
Design four unique playable characters, including concept art and full 3D models.
Create a set of equippable NFT items, including asset modeling, rarity classification, and animations.

-Milestone 2: Gameplay Development & Crafting Mechanics
Develop core dungeon gameplay mechanics, including levels, challenges, and progression systems.
Integrate a crafting system allowing players to earn and mint unique NFT items upon dungeon completion.
Conduct internal playtesting and gameplay balancing to ensure a fun and engaging experience.

-Milestone 3: Blockchain & NFT Integration
Develop smart contracts for equippable NFTs on the Astar network.
Implement in-game ownership, transferability, and inventory systems.
Ensure interoperability with major Web3 marketplaces and wallet providers.
Final testing and debugging of smart contract functionality and integration

The SFY team will be paid in 3 different payments of 330,000 $astr, each of which will be official only upon verification of the milestone reached.

The creation of an AoC saga on astar will also allow the use of the game as a means of distributing airdrops and rewards for players, using the erc7508 protocol. The SFY team will make the game available to the astar foundation that finances the work for collaborations and future marketing on the astar network.

Voted 'Nay' because of not correct proposal.

As you can see in the proposal:
The SFY team will be paid in 3 different payments of 330,000 $astr, each of which will be official only upon verification of the milestone reached.

The proposal suggests being paid in 3 different steps, yet the treasury proposal is already for the full amount. This means that SFY received full amount upfront without any milestone verification.

Hi friend,

Just wanted to clarify my vote on your grant proposal. While I fully support the project and the grant itself, I voted NAY because, under the decentralized governance system, milestone-based payments require separate referendums — one for each milestone, to be submitted after each is completed.

Unfortunately, this is simply how the process is structured.

That said, I’ll gladly support a new referendum covering the first milestone once it’s been completed.

Thanks for your understanding, and looking forward to your continued progress!

Best,

Hi SFY Team,

Following the Astar Degen DAO community vote, we’re pleased to inform you that the DAO has voted AYE in support of your proposal.

That said, we deliberately set our voting power to a lower range to ensure that the referendum would not pass in its current form. As per your own proposed structure — which includes three separate milestones — each phase should be validated through an individual referendum upon its completion. This process allows for clear tracking and accountability at every stage.

Our AYE vote reflects our overall support for the SFY project and the grant request. Once the first milestone has been successfully completed, we invite you to submit a new referendum for the corresponding portion of the grant. At that point, we will be happy to support it with our full voting power if needed.

Warm regards,

AD DAO
