Due to the current ASTR market price (~$0.026), this proposal includes a request to remove the 18,000 ASTR/month compensation cap and instead allocate rewards based on the 30-day EMA ($0.033) as of April 1, 2025.
This ensures fair compensation aligned with the original intent of the $800/month value, avoiding unnecessary limitations caused by temporary market volatility.
This adjustment also reflects the substantial contributions and consistent performance of the Council throughout Q1. From the launch of the Code of Conduct for dApp Staking, to refining grant mechanisms, and advancing delisting and onboarding procedures, the Council has demonstrated exceptional commitment and care.
Council members contributed across a wide spectrum of initiatives—governance design, ecosystem coordination, compliance enforcement, and community engagement—often exceeding the baseline time commitment. This high standard of delivery justifies applying a stable, EMA-based calculation and removing the cap as an exceptional but fair measure.
This approach not only maintains the credibility of our reward framework, but reinforces our shared values of transparency, contribution-based recognition, and long-term ecosystem health.
